The State of Utah classifies a vessel dealer as any person who has an established place of business and sells motorboats and/or sailboats. Any potential vessel dealer in Utah must first submit an application to the Utah Division of State Parks and Recreation for approval.

Utah State Parks distributes a semi-annual newsletter specifically written for boat dealers. This is our way of communicating with registered dealers and helps provide information about safety issues, industry trends and other pertinant information.

COMMERCIAL DEALER DEMONSTRATION PASS (optional)
Utah State Parks offers a Commercial Dealer Demonstration Pass to businesses for the purpose of demonstrating boats or off-highway vehicles (OHVs) to potential buyers. The pass sells for $200 and entitles the dealer and potential buyer admittance to all Utah State Parks boating and OHV facilities. The pass is valid for one boat or OHV, trailer, towing vehicle, and one additional vehicle (with potential buyers). Download the Commercial Dealer Demonstration Pass application, attach a copy of a valid dealer registration, and mail or fax completed affidavits to the address at the top of the form.
