Rockport State Park

Juniper and Riverside Campgrounds are closed. All other campground will remain open for the winter. The docks have been taken out of the lake but a small wedge dock remains in place to assist with launching. We have a hiking trail just over two miles long that follows the east boundary of the park. The trailhead is at milepost 2.5 at our Down Under day-use area. The trail makes its way north to our Juniper Campground area. Campers in Twin Cove Campground can now begin the trail from Twin Coves. For more information, contact the park at (435) 336-2241. Rockport Sports has boat rentals, food, ice and firewood. Open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Memorial Day to Labor Day (closed for the winter). They also have yurt rentals available throughout the year including winter!

FishingFishing continues to be very good especially from a boat. Drifting with Power Bait seems to be working. Anchoring up at the south end is proving productive as is trolling. Lots of nice 15" rainbows being caught with the occassional 22+" tiger!. River fishing is hot right now as well with some nice rainbows and tigers being caught.
